Step 1 – Meet Basic Qualification Criteria* Live in San Francisco, San Mateo or Santa Clara Counties. Be in current treatment for breast cancer. Have a current monthly individual income of $2,000 or less (net). *Annual renewal based on continued eligibility.
Step 2 – Follow Simple Application Process Contact BCEF or one of our 40 Community Partners nearest you. We will assist you with the application paperwork. You are not required to travel to the BCEF offices for assistance.
Step 3 – Get Connected to Our Community Partners We believe that a network of support makes the biggest difference. BCEF partners with more than 40 community agencies to provide a safety net of services. For a full list of our partners, click here.
Step 4 – Receive Fast Payments Assistance is usually available within five days of an approved application, often within 24 hours. BCEF also offers Emergency Same Day Payments to stop eviction, avoid service or utility termination, fill urgent prescriptions or reinstate suspended medical benefits. Payments are issued on checks which do not reveal BCEF’s name. Only the client’s name appears on the check in order maintain strict privacy.
